Re: Plans for an Article on Transfusion

4.According to Tchernobog's article on Blood wiki, longtime member Christopher Steele (a.k.a. DustyStyx) shut down the main site in 2010 after he left. Why did he leave? Why was he worried that no one was interested in Transfusion anymore? The Blood wiki is pretty explicit about that, and it's accu...

Re: Plans for an Article on Transfusion

Wait a moment.. YOU'RE ELRIC, ONE OF THE PROGRAM LEADERS OF TRANSFUSION SINCE THE QBLOOD DAYS! Well, I've encountered you before when I was a bumbling Board Guest I think. You always had a cool choice of avatar. :D Yep, that's me. Thanks for the avatar. how did your team first contact Jace Hall, an...

Re: Plans for an Article on Transfusion

Joe hasn't responded yet apparently, or did you get your answers by PM maybe? I must admit that my initial intents was to shamelessly let Joe do all the work. :D But since your questions made me dig into my mails and IRC logs archives anyway, I guess I might as well help, if you still need informati...

Re: How to extract stuff from Blood alpha`s RFF archive?

Off topic: Judging by your avatar you are a WC3 fan, are you on The Hive Workshop? I'm known there as DEAD FiSH. I used to make my scenarios for WC3, till I started modding Doom, then eventually I focused on HeXen only. Favorite game! I enjoy Blood too a lot, more than Duke Nukem 3D. I don't think ...

Heh thanks. :) I'm glad it's working for you.

What about you Vortex Lord? Were you able to extract what you wanted?

Re: Awakening source?

Hi Corbin.

No, the Awakening page on our development website pretty much says it all. All the code work ever done on this project is on Subversion as far as I can remember. Data have never been commited (or published) though.

Re: How to extract stuff from Blood alpha`s RFF archive?

I've uploaded new ReBUILD snapshots (timestamp: 120822) including RFF 0.3-beta which supports RFF format 1.48. Let me know how it works for you.

NoOne wrote:RFF.EXE supports formats version 2.0,3.0 and 3.1. Format in Blood Alpha is 1.48.

You can't extract resources by this program.
Ah, my mistake, I thought it uses format version 2.0. I'll take a closer look at that and will hopefully add support for version 1.48 in the next few days then.

Re: How to extract stuff from Blood alpha`s RFF archive?

Windows just closes it after I start it. It's because you need to give the program a series of arguments when you run it. Since you don't seem to be familiar with command line programs, let me be more precise. Sorry if the following explanations are actually too simple for you (better safe than sor...

Re: How to extract stuff from Blood alpha`s RFF archive?

Hi Vortex Lord, welcome to the forums. :) I think the "RFF" command line tool from the ReBUILD project can handle the archive files from the alpha version (and if it doesn't, it should, so let me know about it in this case). You can get "RFF.exe" in the Win32 snapshots here . Cop...

Re: Transfusion: a new beginning.

I understand I may have hit a nerve with this. I don't think so. Not any of my nerves anyway. :) Now if I'm wrong and a Quit-claim license cannot be opened up in such a way, so be it. I do think so. I would be surprised if the agreement we have cover anything more than our little own project former...

Great. I'll remove the "beta" tag from the version number then.

Awesome! Yeah, the map is from the original game. There's still a few maps I've been unable to convert, I've just gotten lucky by using an older version. I took a quick look at your problem. It definitely seems to be the validity check that is too strict. I'll test the current version of blud2b wit...
