I have never played NOLF, so I can not really give an opinion on this. However, I should warn you that due to some unpleasantness over arguments over certain modifications and fan games being legal or not, one can not talk about any ideas here which might potentially break copyright. I am afraid thi...

Re: Tchernobog: Different Expectations ?

Even though the memory is probably more fresh for me than for many other people here, I am not really sure what I expected Tchernobog to be. Based on the end level switches I did want something goaty, which is what we got in the end. :P I am not alone in thinking that as a final boss old Tchernie is...

Hey, I can even say I knew about Yatzhee before he was cool. First played some of his freeware adventure games around 2003/2004. ZP did not come about until 2007. :P

I was under the impression that all the Blood files on FilePlanet had been taken down alongside Planet Blood. Happy to say that I was misinformed. :D

I will probably play around with FX Enhancer this weekend then.

Yeah, DarkAct is pretty fun. My only real complaint is the fact that when you have DarkAct enabled it gives you this stupid Akimbo Assault Rifle thing which would be fun except for the fact it means you can no longer fire the the alternative Die Bug Die explosives. I actually tried to see if I could...

Yahtzee has done a Zero Punctuation review about Amneisa. My ISP has been screwing me over for the past few years, meaning I have not actually been able to see it due to bandwidth concerns, but I heard it is fairly positive. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/2092-Amnesia-T...

It seems WINE is concerned about the legal situation as well.

On the one hand I should be p*** off, though to a certain extent the idea does seem to be clever... drum up interest for your website by pretending you are going to take it down. Still, to retierate the words of the great and wise profit Dusty, jerks!

Jesus Christ! Direct3D on Linux!

Mesa developers seem to have reverse engineered some of the Direct3D COM API for the upcoming Gallium3D infrastructure:

I hope they have good lawyers, I can see Microsoft having a bloody fit.

They were hyping the game over at the Phoronix Forums and one of the developers commented how they wanted people to spread the word so they could get some more pre-orders for Episode II. It is actually in some ways more interesting as a business concept than even as an actual game, since they are go...

Calm down Dusty old boy, it looks like everythting is going to be fine: On September 19, 2010, the website for the company was changed to a message that appeared to suggest GOG.com was shutting down, and would offer those that had already purchased games a means to download them later. However, Inte...

Sorry to drag this thread back from the dead, but I found a similar article only from the guys at Big Download instead: http://news.bigdownload.com/2009/01/13/feature-10-great-pc-games-that-need-sequels/ I can not help but notice that there are three Monolith franchises listed here. And yet instead ...
