Re: LucasArts dead; Raven does good

I wonder if some former employee might find the copy of Jedi and Sith engines, maybe release those. I'm really curious to see how this will effect the games communities. What could the sources for these do? As far as I know, modern compatibility is no issue, and is there a linux version? and yet... ...

Re: Atari filing for bankruptcy.....AGAIN

Blame a company that's filing for bankruptcy again, and copyrights lawyers that would jump on any non authorized thing that the company owns...
Hell if Atari goes under, who could sue for copyright? If there's no company, there's no owner. Yet the law says its still licensed and ehh...

Re: Atari filing for bankruptcy.....AGAIN

If they do go bankrupt, can't Jace or someone else just buy the rights? I figure it could work out like this THQ franchise selling thing.

Re: Unable to Play Ken's Original and JonoF's BUILD Demo

Actually Ken has a link for it on his own page since he knows this is an issue. Under utilities page on his site http://advsys.net/ken/utils.htm "Ok, obviously this isn't mine. It's the default DOS extender that Watcom C uses. I put it here just in case you need it to run one of my programs.&qu...

Re: Jace Hall's Blood project at posty.

Honestly, I wonder why it would be so hard to get the code. To me, no one is using the license or anything, except maybe the GOG copy, it's just sitting there on a piece of paper. If Jace were to do something, would any of the companies that *might* own a fraction of the license really care or even ...

Well, I usually check daily but I'm not much of a poster unless I have something to say. Not sure about the slowness but it could be just not much blood related is going on.

Re: Blood Source Port Through DarkXL

Maybe he is going to try to combine Duke source with Shadow Warrior source to make a Blood source?

Re: Blood Source Port Through DarkXL

I haz confuz. Why would it support Blood? Not sure of the specifics but it seems hes found a way to reverse engineer the game without source and build from scratch, his work with Dark Forces looks nice and I know this can be done because I've seen how Strife, a Doom Engine game, was made compatible...

If I remember correctly, unless Gearbox officially states a specific date, we ignore the Amazon dates.

I got it, It's fun but my comp always seems to have some issue running it, seems that way with most Unreal2 engine games.

Played once with this band of people who I had a blast with, they where helpful and very team oriented.

Yeah I got a friend with an iPhone who I coerced to get the demo so I could play it. It's not bad but the controls can take a minute to get a memory for what thumb position affects the movement.
